On September 6, 2022, on margins of the Eastern Economic Forum, Delo Group, Gazprombank and the Bamtonnelstroy-Most Group (hereinafter “BTS-MOST”) signed an agreement for the implementation of a project to build the "Tsemdolina Settlement - Portovaya Street" transit road in Novorossiysk with adjacency to a section of the M-4 “Don” Highway. According to the agreement, the partnership can be implemented in the form of a concession.
The signatories were Sergey Shishkarev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group, Pavel Brusser, First Vice-President and Head of the Infrastructure Projects and Public-Private Partnership Department of Gazprombank, and Ruslan Baisarov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BTS-Most.
The project of road construction with the length of about 13 km is tentatively evaluated in 92.6 billion rubles of capital investments.
The project consists of creating a direct route from the city entrance to Novorossiysk to the Novorossiysk seaport, bypassing the city center. This will increase the volume of transported container and grain cargo to the port for their further export. The city will be relieved of most of the traffic jams and transit cars passing through the residential areas.
Commenting on the event, Dmitry Pankov, the CEO of Delo Management Company, noted: "Delo Group considers participation in this project as a significant contribution to the expansion of transport and logistics capabilities of the Novorossiysk transport hub. The construction of such a necessary route both for the city and the port fully correlates with the decision of the Russian government to intensify maritime trade relations with Turkey and other friendly countries. Undoubtedly, such an expansion of access to the port will greatly increase the traffic, providing comfort to the citizens and significantly reducing the burden on the environment of Novorossiysk”.
“Gazprombank, as a state system-forming bank and #MEGAPLAYER in its niche, is fully aware of its responsibility for the Russian regions infrastructure development. The south of Russia is rapidly developing and needs high-speed highways and modern roundabouts. I am confident that together with our partners we will provide the best "customer experience” for drivers from among the residents and guests of the Krasnodar region, as well as representatives of local businesses,” commented Pavel Brusser.
"Bamtonnelstroy-Most Group is already comprehensively developing the Novorossiysk railroad transport junction to ensure stable operation of industrial enterprises in the Southern Federal District. The implementation of the new road project together with our partners will improve the transport accessibility of Novorossiysk sea port, reduce the traffic load on the road network, improve the environment and the urban environment in Novorossiysk”, - said Alexander Kozarenko, First Deputy General Director of BTS-Most.
