Delo Group and the Republic of Tatarstan signed the agreement on cooperation in the sphere of the region transport and logistics potential development.
The document was signed during the XVI International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic world: KazanForum 2023” by Denis Ilatovsky, Senior Vice-President of Delo Group, and Farit Hanifov, Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan. The agreement was signed as a continuation of the meeting between the Head of Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of the Board of Delo Group Sergey Shishkarev, which took place in September 2022, when Delo Group proposed to the Head of Tatarstan to implement a number of projects in the region to improve the efficiency of logistics of enterprises.
The agreement provides for joint work of the parties to strengthen the competitiveness of railway container transportation and increase the level of cargo containerization in the region. Delo Group and the Government of Tatarstan will also look into the feasibility and prospects of implementing terminal infrastructure development projects in the region, including reconstruction of existing capacities and construction of new logistics complexes as part of multi-modal centers.
The document also provides for the organization of joint work with the main cargo shippers of the Republic of Tatarstan and residents of special economic zones, the expansion of multimodal services and improving their quality. Besides, Delo Group and the regional authorities plan to cooperate with the Ministry of Transport of Russia, ANO Directorate of International Transport Corridors, JSC Russian Railways and other parties concerned to create new and develop existing logistics products, expand the cargo base of the Republic of Tatarstan and increase the volume of container transportation.
“Tatarstan is one of the most industrially developed regions of Russia, there is a large concentration of industrial enterprises. The Government of the Republic is actively working on creation and development of transport and logistics capacities, and the signed agreement will enable to establish multilateral cooperation in this field, expand the use of container transportation and further strengthen the transport and transit potential of the region,” — noted Denis Ilatovsky, senior vice-president of Delo Group, commenting on the document signing.
“This agreement will allow the Republic of Tatarstan to accelerate the delivery of containerized cargo, such as agricultural, industrial, petrochemical products, by sea and rail to Asian countries. Including the development of the infrastructure of the transport system of highways, railways and waterways. Thus, the possibility of economic growth and development of interregional and international cooperation will increase for the region”, — said the Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Hanifov.< Back to list
