Together with other companies in Primorsky Krai, the Global Ports holding provided financial assistance to the educational institution, which allowed to renovate classrooms, purchase educational equipment, and receive a federal grant to open a new specialty.
Training under the new secondary vocational education program will start on September 1, 2025. The training period will be 3 years and 10 months. The new program provides 31 budget places, as well as targeted places from partner companies. In August, the first applicant, Veronika Sergienko, signed a tripartite agreement with the college and the Global Ports Far East Terminal, guaranteeing employment at the terminal after graduation.
As part of the partnership between the college and Global Ports, students will be able to undergo industrial practical training and internships at the terminal. The company's experts in various areas will act as lecturers and mentors. This will provide students with deep immersion and a smooth transition from theory to real work in the port.
"The new direction launch a is our contribution to ensuring personnel security in the Far East and the transport and logistics industry. On the business side, we are interested in young people staying in Primorye, receiving practical education and, upon graduation, already being on first-name terms with modern infrastructure and work processes," said Ilya Dolgy, General manager of the Global Ports Far East Terminal.
To train young specialists in the stevedoring industry, Global Ports cooperates with specialized universities and colleges in the regions where its terminals are located. The company regularly organizes career guidance excursions and specialized lectures with participation of experienced specialists and managers. In 2023, in partnership with the S.O. Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, the holding launched an educational department for students majoring in Transport Process Technology at the Petrolesport terminal. In July 2024, Global Ports signed an agreement with NSHPC for partnership and creation of an educational cluster for the Professionalism federal project. < Back to list
