The multimodal transport operator of the Delo Group, Ruscon, has launched a regular train service from Novorossiysk to St. Petersburg. The rail service is designed to transport a wide range of cargo, including goods that require temperature control.
The frequency of shipments is two container trains per week. The transit time is 7 days. So far, 223 dry containers and 67 refrigerated containers have been sent along the route. Ruscon carries out the transportation of refrigerated containers in cooperation with the company “Polar Star,” which provides platforms and diesel generators to ensure the required temperature conditions during transit.
The service is already operating on routes from Novorossiysk to the Avtovo and Novy Port stations in St. Petersburg. In the future, shipments are planned to the Bronka, Zanevsky Post, and Shushary stations. This will make it possible to select the optimal arrival point depending on the direction of further cargo transportation. The next stage in the development of the service will be the organization of round trips — with return shipments from St. Petersburg to Novorossiysk.
