Under the program, carriers offering freight rate discounts to shippers receive partial reimbursement of their associated costs. With this support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ruscon is offering exporters a 25% discount on sea freight rates for shipments along the Russia–Cuba route. Containers are shipped from the Delo Group terminal in Novorossiysk to the port of Mariel in Cuba, with a transit time of 40 days.
“Transport subsidies expand opportunities for Russian businesses in Latin America. These support measures help reduce the cost of delivering Russian goods to the region, making them more competitive with products from other countries,” said Andrei Chernyshev, First Vice President of Ruscon.
The Russia–Cuba service was launched in June 2024 and is designed to accommodate a wide range of cargo. Shipments are delivered in shipper-sealed containers, with no transshipment en route. < Back to list
