Global Ports, Russia’s leading operator of marine container terminals, part of Delo Group, will build a container repair shop at its multifunctional terminal Petrolesport in the Big Port of St. Petersburg in 2025. The project received a positive approval of the expert examination of the design documentation of capital construction facilities. The shop will repair and maintain both Global Ports' own specialized containers and those of its customers. The area of the future facility will be more than 5000 m². According to the project, the shop will have three repair areas for welding, locksmithing and painting works. The capacity of each area will be 24 twenty-foot containers.
Global Ports has owned its own fleet of 4,000 specialised containers since 2023 and offers a comprehensive service for the transportation, storage and handling of bulk cargo, primarily mineral fertilisers. Handling in Global Ports specialised containers allows manufactures to ship their products from production sites to the port immediately in container block trains. Compared to transportation in mineral wagons, container technology speeds up logistics, allows for separate storage of different product grades in the port and accumulation of any combination of vessel loads. < Back to list
