Delo Group has launched Delo.Analytics, a digital portal providing industry indices, statistical data, and analytical insights on the container transportation market.
Among the portal’s key tools are the Route Competitiveness Index, which measures the balance between transportation cost and transit time; the Route Attractiveness Index, which reflects changes in freight volumes, freight rates, and route market share; and the Container Delivery Cost Index. The indices are calculated for shipments of a 40-foot container on the China-Moscow route, the principal corridor for Russian imports. The portal also provides data on freight volumes and the level of containerization. All quantitative indicators are updated on a monthly basis.
In addition to statistical data, users have access to two information sections: the Logistics Trends Radar, which provides an overview of key market developments, and a blog featuring analytical articles.
“When developing the portal, we relied on the Group’s own expertise and the extensive operational data generated and analyzed across our terminals, maritime and rail services, transport and logistics companies, and other business units. This enables us to produce indicators that accurately reflect the current state of the container market,” said Maxim Shishkov, Director of Strategic Marketing at Delo Group.
Delo.Analytics is based on Delo Group’s proprietary analytical model of the container market, built using macroeconomic and industry data. The methodology covers loaded container throughput at seaports across Russia’s five maritime basins, as well as rail container transportation via land border crossings and domestic rail routes. Delo Group plans to expand the range of published indicators in the future. < Back to list
