A new gantry crane has been installed at PJSC TransContainer’s terminal in Voronezh (Pridacha station). Due to technical advantages of a new 45-ton crane containers can be stored in four tiers and handling operations can be made simultaneously on two railway tracks. The loading front has been increased by 46% from 25 up to 46 conventional wagons.Renovation of crane equipment is a part of terminal reconstruction started back in 2024. During the first phase of reconstruction crane runway modernization has been made along with installation of drainage trays, rails change and bonding, updating of automatic. During the next phase autonomous wastewater collection system is planned to be constructed and container yard basement will be redesigned for safety four-tiers container storage. Terminal capacity will be increased by 20.4% up 55.2 thousand TEUs.
Development of terminal facilities in Voronezh is of a great importance for local logistics. TransContainer’s share of container transportations at Yugo-Vostochnaya railway in 2025 was 43%, meanwhile terminal in Voronezh handles 52% of all company’s cargos at the Railway.
The terminal ensures cargo transportations to key locations in East Siberia, Krasnoyarsk region and Far East. The range of cargoes encompasses almost all variety of cargoes produced in Voronezh region: sugar, medicines, chemicals, metal, cooking oil, pulp as well as other goods. < Back to list
