The Delo Group is strengthening its asset management capabilities: starting in February, the role of freight agent for Sakhalin Shipping Company (SASCO, part of the Delo Group) will be assumed by another Group company — the multimodal transport operator Ruscon. Previously, these services were provided by a third-party organization.
Ruscon is now responsible for the full support of Sakhalin Shipping Company’s vessel calls at Vostochny Port: document processing, planning of vessel loading and unloading, control of incoming containers, and coordination of all participants in the transportation process. The new operating model has already been successfully tested at the Wrangel Terminal, where Ruscon handled 12 Sakhalin Shipping Company vessel calls.
There are plans to scale this practice to other ports in the Russian Far East. Under the new model, the Group expects to handle approximately 37,000-40,000 TEU per year.
Bringing agency functions in-house will improve the manageability and transparency of business processes through unified operating standards. The internalization of agency services is expected to accelerate vessel handling and enhance service quality for Delo Group’s clients and partners in the Far East. < Back to list
