Multimodal transport operator Ruscon (part of Delo Group) provided end-to-end logistics for the delivery of technology equipment from India to the Ruscart plant in the Moscow Region, one of Russia’s leading snack food manufacturers. The 111-ton shipment was transported under a multimodal scheme. The equipment was dispatched by sea from the Port of Chennai, delivered to the Delo Group terminal at the Port of Ust-Luga, and then transported by road to the manufacturing facility in the Moscow Region. Part of the cargo was shipped in 40-foot containers, while other components were transported as break-bulk. Ruscon provided a full range of logistics services, including route planning, organization of sea freight, customs clearance at the port of arrival, and coordination of final delivery.
The project was carried out as part of the client’s production modernization program. The launch of a new high-performance manufacturing line will enable the Ruscart plant to expand its output and increase overall capacity.
“Ruscon implemented this logistics project using unconventional solutions. The team’s expertise in organizing sea freight, customs clearance, and subsequent inland delivery made it possible to synchronize all stages of transportation, minimize risks, and select optimal solutions tailored to the client’s specific requirements,” said Andrey Chernyshev, First Vice President of Ruscon. < Back to list
