In February, Global Ports Far East Terminal (part of the Delo Group) welcomed the inaugural call of a new regular container service connecting Vostochny Port (Vrangel Bay, Primorsky Krai) with Shanghai (China) and Busan (South Korea). The service is operated by shipping line UNITY LINE.The route is served by the container vessel NEWSTRIVER, which has a capacity of 744 TEU. The ship will call at the Global Ports terminal in Vrangel twice a month, with a rotation that includes Shanghai, Busan, Vostochny Port, and Vladivostok Port.
On the import side, NEWSTRIVER will carry a wide range of consumer goods, including clothing, household items, and food products. In cooperation with the Delo Group’s railway operator, Global Ports offers customers regular container shipments from the Vrangel terminal via express container trains to Central Russia, as well as to key industrial regions in the Urals and the Volga area — including Chelyabinsk, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and Penza. By enabling direct transport without the need for transshipment in Moscow, this setup streamlines logistics and shortens delivery times for end consumers.
For export, the vessel will transport chemical products, metallurgical goods, and agricultural produce.
In addition to the new Shanghai–Busan service, the Global Ports terminal in Vrangel also operates regular container services to the Chinese ports of Qingdao, Taicang, Ningbo, and Rizhao. < Back to list
