Delo Group and CSKA Handball Players Hold Sports Festival for Children with Cancer

Delo Group, together with players from the CSKA men's and women's handball teams and the Gift of Life charitable foundation, organized a sports festival for young patients of the Dmitry Rogachev National Medical Research Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology in Moscow. Children aged 3 to 18 and their parents took part in the event.

The program included an interactive quiz and a series of games with the athletes. CSKA players held mini training sessions on passing and dribbling and helped the children practice accurate throws. Participants also watched a short video on the dynamics of handball and discussed the rules in a “truth or myth” format. The meeting concluded with an autograph session, group photos, and memorable gifts from Delo Group.

“For Delo Group, supporting initiatives that enhance the quality of life for families and children is a priority. Sport brings people together, teaches teamwork, and builds resilience — this is exactly what we wanted to share with the children at the Center together with the CSKA players, giving them new and joyful emotions,” said Vera Smirnova, Director for ESG Ratings and Sustainable Development at Delo Group.

Earlier, the Group supported the construction of one of the buildings of the Izmalkovo boarding house — a social project of the Gift of Life foundation — which will provide comfortable accommodation for families whose children undergo outpatient treatment at the Rogachev Center.

Delo Group places strong emphasis on corporate social responsibility, supporting domestic sports as well as social and charitable projects. For many years, the Group has been involved in initiatives in professional and youth sports at both national and club levels and actively promotes the development of handball in Russia.
