Employees of DeloPorts — the stevedoring holding managing Delo Group’s assets in Novorossiysk — took part in the annual environmental initiative to plant trees at the Novorossiysk Arboretum.
As part of the campaign, company employees planted over 40 catalpa saplings and 140 Elaeagnus shrubs. The new plantings became part of the green maze created in 2024. In addition, new benches were installed throughout the park, enhancing the landscape and making the area more comfortable for visitors.
“We continue to support initiatives that improve the urban environment and preserve Novorossiysk’s natural heritage. This is our contribution to sustainable development and the well-being of future generations,” said Igor Yakovenko, CEO of DeloPorts.
In 2023, Delo Group began restoring the Novorossiysk Dendropark Arboretum, a unique part of the local natural complex bordering the Sudzhuk Spit and Prilagunye area. Today, the park covers five hectares of previously unused land, where nearly 1,500 trees and shrubs of more than 140 species grow — including 32 rare and endangered species. Earlier initiatives by the Group’s employees include the planting of the “Business Alley” in 2023, featuring large-leaved lime trees, junipers, pyracantha, and lilacs, and the creation of a green maze of 300 tamarisk and Elaeagnus shrubs in 2024. < Back to list
