The train departs from Hefeibei Station and follows the route through the Erlian border crossing in China’s Shanxi Province, Zamyn-Uud in Mongolia, and Naushki in Russia, arriving at Ulyanovsk-3 Station. The total transit time is 20 days. Currently, shipments run twice a month, with plans to increase the frequency to three departures per month.
The service primarily targets the transportation of automobiles, machinery kits, and equipment, but can also handle consolidated, heavy, and chemical cargo.
“This new overland route offers a predictable and efficient solution for cargo delivery from China to Russia’s Volga region, ensuring stable transit times and regular departures. It serves as both an alternative and a complement to multimodal routes via the Far East and maritime routes through the Suez Canal,” said Andrey Chernyshev, First Vice President of Ruscon.
With an extensive agent network across China, Ruscon organizes rail shipments from multiple origin points and provides customers with a comprehensive range of logistics solutions. < Back to list
