On June 16, 2022, a cooperation agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum between Delo Management Company (MC Delo - the headquarters of the Group), and the Avtodor State Company. The signatories were Dmitry Pankov, the CEO of MC Delo, and Igor Koval, the First Deputy Chairman of the Board for Investment Policy of Avtodor State Company.
The agreement is of a conceptual nature; it is based on an understanding of the necessity to jointly develop cooperation mechanisms and conditions for investment collaboration in the construction and operation of public highways. The development of port infrastructure was also part of the discussion. The parties agreed to exchange information on cargo traffic and experience in implementing major infrastructure projects using public-private partnership mechanisms.
Commenting on the signing of the agreement, Dmitry Pankov stressed: “The quality and capacity of highways (especially at the approaches to ports) are key to increasing the export and import traffic handled by water. As a sum, the state of our country's entire foreign economic activity also depends on them.
By signing this agreement with our colleagues from Avtodor, we are expecting to bring our cooperation to a brand-new level. One of our main goals is to ensure the development of road infrastructure in the regions. Achieving the necessary development level for successful foreign trade and comfortable life of our country's constituent entities inspires us to do more”.
In his turn, Igor Koval noticed: “The development of transport potential of the country in the current situation in the Azov-Black Sea and Caspian basins is an important component of the economy. The State Company is interested in synchronization of plans and joint development of road and port infrastructure, including approaches to the ports.
Within the framework of this agreement joint investment transport projects in the port infrastructure are considered”.
