TransContainer (part of Delo Group) will launch a new multimodal service for cargo delivery from the Chinese ports of Taisang and Ningbo to Russian regions through the terminal of The „Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company “ (VSC, part of Global Ports, where Delo Group is a co-controlling shareholder).
The service is focused on transportation of consumer goods from China for small, midsize and large businesses in Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Krasnoyarsk and other Russian cities.
According to plans, the departure of the first vessel from Taisang port will take place in the beginning of April. Transit time on the sea shoulder will be about 3-4 days. Containers will be delivered from the VSC terminal by TransContainer's services to the Russian destinations. Four dispatches are planned monthly on the Taisang/Ningbo-Vostochny route. Trains from the Far East to Russian regions as part of the service will run on a weekly basis. In the future, additional sea transportation from the port of Ningbo will be organized. The delivery to Taisang from the ports of Qingdao, Xingang, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Xiamen will become available too.
„The new service between ports in China and the Russian Far East will support the transportation of imported goods on schedule and at high speed, which is especially relevant in the context of the changes taking place in the logistics industry. Based on our asset base and accumulated experience, we maintain the reliability of our existing routes and responsively create new transportation solutions for our customers, “ said Nikita Pushkaryov, the Director on Sales and Customer Service of TransContainer.
