TransContainer has increased the capacity of the site in the Zabaikalsky Krai

Within the framework of implementation of the program on expansion of terminal capacities PJSC TransContainer has completed installation of a new gantry crane at its own terminal at Chita-1 station in the Zabaikalsky Krai. The double-girder crane with a lifting capacity of 45 tons replaced its predecessor with a lifting capacity of 30.5 tons.

The new mechanism allows containers to be placed in three tiers, whereas previously they were placed in two tiers, which increases the capacity of the site from 360 to 540 TEUs.

The annual processing capacity of the site has also increased from 23.5 thousand to 27.3 thousand TEUs. The crane is equipped with a telescopic spreader with a special sliding frame designed to work with 20-foot and 40-foot containers. On the previous model the device for handling 40-foot containers was installed manually.

The crane is equipped with modern safety devices, frequency converters for controlling electric motors for lifting and movement of the cargo, which makes its operation fast and technologically advanced. < Back to list
