The reconstruction started in 2023. Since then we have renovated pavement of two container yards, reconstructed lighting and wastewater systems, deepened and protected heating mains. Eventually technological efficiency of cargo handling has been improved, working environment for employees has become friendlier.
PJSC TransContainer is now preparing for the second phase of the project whereby a new utility building and an access road are to be built.
After the second phase of modernization in 2025 capacity of the terminal will be increased by 2.2 times up to 110 000 TEUs a year, while a one-time capacity will expand by 80 percent from 1200 to 2200 TEUs a year. Moreover, the terminal will be able to store reefers that require special temperature control. The terminal reconstruction program has received the status of a priority investment project in the Perm Region.
The terminal at Blochnaya station handles about 15-20 percent of all containers circulating at Svedlovskaya Railway range. The main commodities are lumber, FMCG, chemicals and petroleum. The terminal ensures dispatch of regular block trains for exports heading to the largest border crossings of Eastern and Southern Russia.
Moreover, the container yard in Perm allows to balance workload on the Company’s terminal in Yekaterinburg. The reconstructed terminal at Blochnaya station allows to meet demand of regional industry in logistics services to the fullest extent until commissioning of a new PJSC TranContainer’s terminal at Sedelnikovo station in Sverdlovsk region (scheduled in 2027). < Back to list
