In July 2022, logistics operator RUSCON (part of the Delo Group), opened its own regular multimodal service for the delivery of cargo in containers between India and Russia.
RUSCON provides turnkey forwarding of the route from anywhere in our country. Docking of its land and sea parts is carried out in Novorossiysk through the NUTEP terminal (the stevedoring asset of the DeloPorts) and RUSCON's own port terminal. Further, the vessels deliver the cargo along the route Novorossiysk - Istanbul - Nhava Sheva. Additionally, there are options for ordering customs and terminal-warehouse services, as well as sending cargo both in client containers and in containers managed by RUSCON. Hazardous cargo is also accepted for delivery. The regularity of the service at this stage is once a month with a transit time of 22 days. The first departure of a vessel with a capacity of 1700 TEU's from the port of Nava Sheva is scheduled for August 10 this year, for the return voyage from the port of Novorossiysk - September 2 this year.
Commenting on the opening of the new service, Sergey Beryozkin, the President of RUSCON, said: “The use of routes alternative to the international transport corridor West-East in today's conditions seems to be very promising. Indian ports, as a base for the further transfer of Russian import, export, or transit cargo, are beginning to play an increasingly important role in the situation of restructuring global supply chains.
We are pleased to announce that, as part of the new service, RUSCON provides customers with the opportunity to manage their shipments in India to the recipient's warehouse by local regional routes, road and sea route networks between the port of Nhava Sheva and other container terminals throughout the country.”
