Ruscon and REC held a webinar on multimodal container transportation via Novorossiysk
Multimodal operator Ruscon (part of Delo Group) together with Russian Export Center JSC (REC) held a webinar dedicated to multimodal container transportation via Novorossiysk port.
During the webinar Ruscon presented capabilities of Delo Group assets, peculiarities of multimodal services, integrated services of cargo delivery from/to ports, as well as advantages of different types of goods transportation in containers through the ports of southern Russia.
According to Ruscon, in May 2023 the list of maritime container carriers at Novorossiysk port has changed dramatically: while in February 2022 more than 80% of container turnover was accounted for by global players, in May 2023 their share decreased to 15%. Turkish companies showed extensive growth, increasing their share to 38%. The Russian lines segment accounted for 0.3% of the market until February 2022, reaching 28% as of May 2023. New players have also emerged: regional operators from China, India and the Gulf countries, which accounted for 19% of the market in May 2023.
Ruscon estimates that transportation via Novorossiysk will develop in the direction of more active use of multimodal services with door-to-door delivery, connection of import and export cargo flows, as well as expanding the geography of regular sea lines. In particular, the company sees potential for developing routes to Latin America and Africa.
A representative of the Russian Export Centre presented the b2b marketplace "Export Professionals", where more than 30 services from FEA professionals are available to exporters. Ruscon is on the REC's register of accredited contractors and provides logistics services.
"Ruscon has a terminal infrastructure in Novorossiysk with a total annual capacity of 110,000 TEU and, in cooperation with other assets of Delo Group, offers container shipping services, including dangerous goods. In cooperation with REC, we support Russian exporters, and the webinar format as a direct channel of communication with customers is very important," said Dmitry Kutateladze, Marketing Director of Ruscon.
"The mission of Export Professionals on the My Export digital platform is to take the exporter by the hand and guide him or her through all the steps of the journey to foreign markets, providing him or her with expert support from proven operators in the field of FEA. We help businesses find a foreign partner prepare the product for certification, sort out logistics and deliveries - and much more. Both existing exporters and companies that are just thinking about selling abroad can turn to us for support", said Artur Zavyalov, Director of Non-Financial Product Development at the Russian Export Center. < Back to list
