KSK became Black Sea basin leader in grain transshipment in 2022/2023 season, handling 7.6 million tonnes of grain
KSK grain terminal of Delo Group’s DeloPorts stevedoring holding handled 7.6 million tonnes of grain in the 2022/2023 grain season, an increase of 46% against the previous season's result.
KSK ranked first among terminals in the Black Sea basin with its share reaching 30%. The maximum monthly transshipment volume was recorded in March 2023, when KSK shipped a record 801.5 thousand tonnes of grain for export.
Delo Group invested over 9 billion roubles in the development of the grain terminal created from scratch. At the decision of Sergey Shishkarev, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Delo Group, the Group continues to expand the terminal's capacity and upgrade machinery and equipment in order to meet the growing grain export volumes.
"We expect that due to well-coordinated efficient work and organization of the terminal's operational activities next season we will be able to surpass the achieved transshipment figure while maintaining a consistently high level of customer service," said Igor Yakovenko, DeloPorts Director General.
Delo Group started grain transshipment at the KSK terminal in the port of Novorossiysk in 2007. The terminal's unique infrastructure allows for the transshipment of bulk, general and ro-ro cargo. Vessels are handled at three berths, including the deepest in the Azov-Black Sea basin, which can accommodate vessels with a cargo capacity of up to 100,000 tonnes and a draft of up to 15.9 meters. The terminal has its own certified laboratory, with its specialists checking the quality of grain for export. < Back to list
