Delo Group launched corporate program of having many children among employees' families
Delo Group (the Group) is launching a corporate program of having many children among employees' families, which provides a one-time payment of one million rubles for the birth of a third child in the family.
The statement was made by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Group, Sergey Shishkarev, speaking at the session “Best Practices of Private Business Participation in Achieving National Development Goals” at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum on June 17, 2022. According to Sergey Shishkarev, this program includes several additional benefits and preferences for families with children, including additional sick leave payments during pregnancy, compensation for a private kindergarten or babysitter, VMI program for the whole family with 4 or more children, compensation for trips to children's camps for large families, and targeted training for children in a specialized university.
Implementation of the program is based on two basic principles - progressivity and so-called positive discrimination. The first principle is a sharp increase in social benefits when a family has a third child. The second principle is differentiation of benefits depending on the region where the family lives and the social benefits that are provided by the state and local authorities.
Therefore, if an employees of the Group has a third child they will receive one million rubles, it is in fact, the second parental capital in addition to what parents receive from the state. The Group will make the first payment in near future: a family of TransContainer employees in one of Russia's regions became parents for the third time. The girl was named Vasilisa.
“As you see, encouraging having more children in the families of our employees is not directly related to the achievement of the Group's commercial results. We see this as our duty to a society.
Moreover, we try to project this experience onto the whole system of the state support of demography. To make our work on increasing the birth rate more systematic, we have agreed with our colleagues from the Central Federal District and the plenipotentiary representative of the President of Russia in the district, Igor Shchegolev, to support the D.I. Mendeleev Institute for Demographic Policy. We hope that the measures developed by the specialists of the Institute, which include leading demographers of the country, to stimulate the birth rate on the demographic and corporate level will change the situation in this sphere both in the Central Federal District and throughout Russia,” stressed Sergey Shishkarev.
