Delo Group to develop logistics and demographic projects in Kuzbass

Delo Group and the Kemerovo Region have signed a cooperation agreement during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum in order to develop transport and logistics potential and demographic projects in the region.

The document was signed by Denis Ilatovsky, Senior Vice-President for Operations and Government Relations at Delo Group, and the First Deputy Governor of the Kemerovo Region - Chairman of the Government of the Kemerovo Region Ilya Seredyuk.

The agreement provides for joint work of the parties on increase of competitiveness of railway container transportation, and also a level of containerization of cargoes of the enterprises of the region. Delo Group and the Government of the Kemerovo Region will study the prospects for terminal infrastructure projects, reconstruction of existing and construction of new logistics complexes, including the multimodal centers. The regional authorities will consider extending the measures to stimulate regional investment projects provided for by the legislation to the companies of the Delo Group.

The parties intend to cooperate with the major cargo shippers of the Kemerovo Region and develop multimodal services, as well as interact with the federal executive bodies, the executive bodies of the Kuzbass and other interested parties to launch and improve logistics products and expand the cargo base of the region.

In addition, there are plans to jointly develop and implement social practices aimed at improving the demographic situation in the region, to exchange experience and arrange internships for specialists. Delo Group launched a corporate demographic project to increase the birth rate and support motherhood and childhood. In 2023 on the basis of the project the specialists of the Group and D.I. Mendeleyev Institute of Demographic Policy created a methodical manual, which can serve as a basis for implementation of similar measures both in other companies as well as in regions of the country.

"Kuzbass is one of the largest coal basins in the world, the center of the domestic mining industry. The region also has developed metallurgical, chemical and machine-building industries are also developed in the region. The signed agreement will make it possible to offer new services and logistics products to shippers of the Kemerovo region, which will have a positive effect on the economy of the region. The well-being of its residents plays an important role in the development of the Kuzbass, so we also intend to pay attention to the social sphere, including cooperation with the authorities of the region in matters of demographic policy," - said Denis Ilatovsky.

"The agreement with Delo Group is aimed at the development and improvement of competitiveness of railway container transportation. It is also designed to provide conditions for the organization of joint work with the main shippers of Kuzbass, including the Special Economic Zone residents. A big plus of our interaction is that the company is not only engaged in expansion of multimodal services, but also pays much attention to charitable projects to support mass sports, and implements corporate demographic programs.
