The vehicles are manufactured by a Chinese manufacturer of specialised cargo equipment. They are equipped with 4x4 all-wheel drive and are used for in-port transport of containers. The tractors have high manoeuvrability, improved control system and are able to move a road train weighing up to 90 tonnes. The equipment units are equipped with an inbuilt video control system, which enhances operational safety and improves driver comfort.
Including the new equipment, 56 tractors are operating at PLP and 26 at FCT.
