Delo Group planted trees in the Setun River Valley nature reserve in Moscow
On 20 September 2023, Delo Group together with the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection and the All-Russian Society for Nature Protection planted trees near Mosfilmovsky Pond in the Setun River Valley Nature Reserve. The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Delo Group, as part of which the Group's companies plant trees in the regions of operation across Russia.
Delo Group, the Moscow Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection and the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation agreed to continue supporting and developing the city's specially protected natural areas, thus contributing to environmental conservation.
"Delo Group pays great attention to preserving the environment in the regions of operation as an integral component of sustainable development principles. We are consistently implementing a program to reduce the environmental impact of the Group's operations. Our terminals actively use energy from renewable sources, we acquire green electricity certificates and continue to develop this sphere. Today's event is our support of the city's efforts to preserve the ecological balance," said Elena Svirina, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Delo Group.
"Moscow today is one of the greenest megacities in the world. And this is no coincidence. More than 49% of the capital's area is occupied by green and natural areas. They largely determine the ecological state of the city, and their impact on the health of residents can hardly be overestimated. There are 148 specially protected natural territories within the boundaries of the city, where rare plant species listed in the Red Book of Moscow grow. The capital has several greening programs, such as "My Street", "One Million Trees", "Our Tree". The city is constantly developing, which means that the number of green areas should also increase to maintain a competent balance between nature and urbanized environment," said Anton Kulbachevsky, Acting Head of the Department of Nature Management and Environmental Protection of Moscow.
"A good and necessary action, an excellent start to the marathon of good deeds of the Moscow City Branch of the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation. We organize such actions on a regular basis, their number will only increase," said Andrey Shapovalov, Executive Director of the All-Russian Society for Nature Protection. < Back to list
