The logistics operation began in January, when a vessel carrying the cargo for JSC Atomstroyexport departed from St. Petersburg. In February, the first shipment arrived at the port of Tuticorin, India. The second shipment, sent from St. Petersburg in January, reached the port of Mongla, Bangladesh, in March.
Ruscon managed the cargo consolidation, formed a full shipload, and chartered a specialized vessel equipped with cranes for heavy lifting. By optimizing vessel capacity, transportation costs were minimized. Upon arrival in India and Bangladesh, Ruscon oversaw unloading and final delivery of the equipment to the designated sites.
Kudankulam NPP is being constructed in India with Rosatom's involvement, with four new power units under development based on Russian design. The Ruppur NPP, located 160 kilometers from Dhaka, Bangladesh, is also being built following a Russian design and will feature two reactors. < Back to list
