Delo Group Delivers Heavy Equipment for Nuclear Power Plants in India and Bangladesh

Ruscon, a multimodal transportation operator (part of Delo Group), successfully delivered two consolidated cargo shipments for the Kudankulam (India) and Ruppur (Bangladesh) nuclear power plants. Both facilities are under construction with the participation of Rosatom State Corporation’s Engineering Division (managed by JSC Atomstroyexport). The shipments included heavy and oversized equipment weighing a total of 2,700 tons, with some components reaching 360 tons and a height of 4.5 meters.

The logistics operation began in January, when a vessel carrying the cargo for JSC Atomstroyexport departed from St. Petersburg. In February, the first shipment arrived at the port of Tuticorin, India. The second shipment, sent from St. Petersburg in January, reached the port of Mongla, Bangladesh, in March.

Ruscon managed the cargo consolidation, formed a full shipload, and chartered a specialized vessel equipped with cranes for heavy lifting. By optimizing vessel capacity, transportation costs were minimized. Upon arrival in India and Bangladesh, Ruscon oversaw unloading and final delivery of the equipment to the designated sites.

Kudankulam NPP is being constructed in India with Rosatom's involvement, with four new power units under development based on Russian design. The Ruppur NPP, located 160 kilometers from Dhaka, Bangladesh, is also being built following a Russian design and will feature two reactors. < Back to list
