Delo Group and Sverdlovsk Region started working out stages of Yekaterinburg TLC development project
Delo Group and the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region have started working out the stages of implementation of the roadmap for the Ekaterinburg Transport and Logistics Center project.
In the margins of the Innoprom-2023 exhibition, Delo Group's Senior Vice President for Operations and Interaction with Government Bodies Denis Ilatovsky, First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Alexey Shmykov, and Head of the Sverdlovsk Railway Ivan Kolesnikov held a working meeting to discuss the implementation of the federal project "Transport and Logistics Centers" in the Sverdlovsk Region, as well as administrative support of the investment project for the construction of the Ekaterinburg TLC by the regional authorities.
The meeting followed the signing of the investment project roadmap for the construction of the Yekaterinburg TLC at Sedelnikovo station. The document was signed by representatives of PJSC TransContainer (part of Delo Group), JSC Russian Railways and the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuivashev.
During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of providing the TLC with the necessary infrastructure, the design of PJSC TransContainer's cargo terminal, and obtaining the status of a priority investment project as immediate issues.
"The Sverdlovsk Region is a key cargo-forming industrial region with its own cargo base and a major logistics center for the distribution of goods. We plan to actively expand contracts with the region's largest enterprises here and maximize the use of products from local manufacturers while constructing and equipping our terminal. I am convinced that together with the Sverdlovsk Region authorities and Russian Railways we will be able to resolve all the issues that arise and implement the TLC project in order to offer our customers the most comfortable opportunities," said Denis Ilatovsky.
The investment project to create the Ekaterinburg TLC is one of the strategic projects for TransContainer. The prerequisite for its development was reaching the maximum capacity of the existing terminal at Ekaterinburg-Tovarny station. In 2022, it handled 172.5 thousand TEU, which is close to the maximum handling capacity of 200 thousand TEU per year. As part of the TLC, a new terminal with a capacity of 158 thousand TEU per year is planned to be built at the first stage; the cost of the work is estimated at more than RUB 3.4bn. The land plot will provide a reserve for the development of the terminal's processing capacity of up to 300 thousand TEU per year. < Back to list
