Delo Group's delegation headed by Sergey Shishkarev, the Group's Chairman of the Board of Directors, took part in the 2023 Belt and Road forum held in Beijing on 17-18 October.
The Thematic Forum on Maritime Cooperation featured Denis Ilatovsky, Delo Group Senior Vice President for Operations and Government Relations, who spoke about the development of transport corridors passing through Russia, and their role in international trade.
"Several key international transport corridors pass through Russia, the shortest transport routes from China to Europe and the Middle East. Their active utilization will accelerate the development of reliable, fast and safe logistics with low environmental impact," he noted. Denis Ilatovsky emphasized that the route from China to the European part of Eurasia via Russia’s railways is one of the most environmentally friendly due to the high share of electrification.
Delo Group has been actively investing in the development of transport infrastructure to meet the growing volumes of traffic between Russia and China. In 2022, the Group completed the reconstruction of the terminal in Zabaikalsk, which is the largest terminal on the border between Russia and China and accounts for about one third of all overland container traffic between the two countries. In addition, Delo Group is modernizing terminals on the Russian railway network and implementing a project to develop its marine terminal in the Far East. To implement these and other projects, the Group is expanding its co-operation with major Chinese companies. In March, Delo Group signed an agreement of cooperation with Shandong Port Group. < Back to list
