The container ship Stonewell Glory is 231 meters long and 32 meters wide and has a capacity of 3,050 TEU. The import vessel was unloaded at the First Container Terminal, loaded at the Petrolesport (both located in the Big Port of St. Petersburg, part of Global Ports), and then went to ULCT, where it was loaded with 248 40-foot containers. The cargo range consisted of traditional industrial export goods: products of metallurgical, chemical and timber processing industries.
Against the backdrop of recovering cargo turnover in the Baltic basin, a trend has emerged to increase the capacity of the container fleet. To enable customers to use larger vessels, ULKT increased the allowable draft at its berths to 12.6 meters in the summer of 2024.
In 2024, every fourth container ship calling at the ports of St. Petersburg and Ust-Luga had a capacity of 3,000 TEU or more. < Back to list
