It is equipped with a diesel generator and an electric power unit, the consumption of which is more economical than that of larger diesel engines. And the elimination of an all-electric engine eliminates the downtime required to charge it. Replacing the automatic gearbox with an electromechanical drive due to a more reliable mechanism eliminates the risk of breakdowns and downtime due to malfunction of the automatic transmission.
The use of the new technology will reduce fuel consumption and pollutant emissions by up to 20%. Operational costs for maintenance and repair will also be reduced.
The hybrid loader has been developed considering the operational and climatic peculiarities of the company's terminal network. The first sample was successfully tested at the manufacturing plant in a friendly country. After that TransContainer purchased three reach stackers for operation at the company's own terminals at Kostarikha (Nizhny Novgorod), Batareinaya (Irkutsk) and Bazaikha (Krasnoyarsk) stations. The choice of locations is connected with the need for growth of handling capacities of the terminals, as well as the need to evaluate the performance of the equipment in different climatic conditions.
Based on the results of the reach stackers operation, the technical specification can be finalized, after which the company will plan on the purchase of similar loaders for other terminals.
TransContainer is actively working to improve its energy efficiency. More than 80% of the company's terminals use electric cranes with zero emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere. < Back to list
