Fertiliser handling was carried out at three Global Ports terminals in the Baltic basin. In addition to Petrolesport and First Container Terminal (PLP and FCT, respectively, both located in the Big Port of St. Petersburg), Ust-Luga Container Terminal (ULCT, located in the deep-water port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region) started handling in 2024. In 2024, ULCT purchased handling equipment, including reachstackers and tilting spreaders. To enable customers to utilise the large-capacity fleet, ULCT increased the guaranteed draft of vessels at berth from 12.1m to 12.6m.
In 2023, against the backdrop of growing demand from the chemical industry, Global Ports established its own fleet of 4,000 twenty-foot specialised containers for handling fertilisers using container technology. This made it possible to launch a new integrated service for the transport, storage and handling of bulk cargo. < Back to list
